Request an appointmentAn ADHD assessment usually spans three sessions: an initial consult to take a detailed history and confirm eligibility for assessment, one or two assessment consults, and a report consult where your psychiatrist discusses results, makes a diagnosis where appropriate, and covers management options. Completing an assessment does not guarantee a diagnosis.
Eligible patients with a valid GP referral may be able to claim a Medicare rebate on psychiatric consultations, which reduces the out-of-pocket cost. Rebate amounts depend on the Medicare item your psychiatrist bills and your circumstances.
