Request an appointmentBook a standard GP appointment and discuss what you’ve been experiencing. Ask for a referral to a psychiatrist. It can be addressed to Updoc’s Partner Psychiatrists.
Submit a request with Updoc and share your referral during intake. You’ll receive an email detailing the forms to complete before booking.
Once your referral and forms are in, book a time with an AHPRA-registered Partner Psychiatrist, online from home.
GP referrals to a specialist are typically valid for 12 months from first use; referrals from another specialist are usually shorter. Check with your GP if you’re unsure.
Yes, but Medicare rebates only apply to eligible consultations with a valid referral. Without one, the full consultation fee applies.
Your GP will include the reason for referral, relevant history and current medications. If you have recent reports or assessments, have them ready to share too.
